STEP 1 – Apply
Apply for a scholarship to receive FREE training towards becoming an insurance professional. This is easy. Just fill out an application form. The criteria is pretty easy to meet, so if you are serious about a career in insurance, chances are good that you’ll receive a scholarship from one of our generous sponsors. After you submit your application, we will review it and we’ll contact you within 2 weeks.
Once you receive confirmation of your scholarship, you will receive all the information you need to start your online training right away! Once you successfully complete this training you will need to write a final exam. Once this is done, you can start working and start earning some big bucks.

STEP 2 – Study
You have 4 months from the date you receive your scholarship to study and prepare for the course. As the course is in video format, it is easy to study at your own pace and review the information as often as you’d like until you feel comfortable in what you know.The video course is approximately 400 minutes, so meeting the 4 month target will be a breeze (that’s approximately 20 minutes a week)*!
*We know you want to start your career as soon as possible and start your quest towards global domination, so we do recommend studying a bit more each week.
STEP 3 – Get extra support from the Student Club Page
When you need a little extra help with your studying, or if you have any questions regarding the course, want to check out jobs, or just want to see what other scholarship students are doing, check out the Student Club. We are here to make things as easy as possible for you, anytime, all the time.STEP 4 – Register for the exam
When you are almost done studying, and you feel good about knowing the information, you will have to write a final exam. Don’t worry, if you have done well on the practice exams in the course, and have put the time studying, you should do great! Have a look at the Exam Schedules and see when the next date is to write the final exam in your area.
Once you have found a date that suits you, contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will register you for the exam and pay your fee. You will then be provided with an email confirmation of your exam time and date.
STEP 5 – Write and pass the exam
Show up to write your exam and kick butt. You can do it!Passing the exam will qualify you to be a licensable insurance broker. HOORAY!
STEP 6 – Check out our job board
While you are waiting for your results (may take a few weeks), check out our Job Board and forward your resume to companies who are looking to hire. There are many companies who are waiting to hire CISP graduates right away!STEP 7 – Results!
When you receive your results, and have successfully passed the exam, it is now time to Win the World! If you have not yet found a job, keep looking on our job board for new opportunities! Or give us a call. We may be able to pint you in the right direction.If you do not pass the final exam, don’t worry. You can take the exam over.
Take some time and review the course again, and try and focus on the areas you feel you did not do as well on. Find the next available exam date in your area, email us and we’ll register you for the final exam.
STEP 8 – Ka ching!

Now that you are a fully-fledged insurance professional, each year you must take a few courses to keep up-to-date with the latest knowledge about what’s going on. This is called “continuing education”. This is typical of many professionals (doctors, financial, real estate etc). Speak with your manager at the office you work at and they can help point you in the right direction for your continuing education.Most insurance professionals take continuing education courses online with ilscorp.com as it is the easiest and most efficient way to learn. Each course is about 2 hours long and you have a whole year to do this. There are no big exams that you have to write, just short multiple choice questions at the end of each online course.
